Abstract
PURPOSE: To render a sheared surface an inside sloping surface and to obtain a semisphere cap of systematically and nicely welded, by blanking a plate material to a compound ellipsoidal shape and by bulging and drawing it after forming the angle of the sheared surface and the bottom circumferential surface to shape dull angle.
CONSTITUTION: A compound ellipsoidal shape having its large diameter only in its longitudinal and crosswise direction is blanked at an appropriate point out of a plate material A0 by an outer diameter blanking die 5. At the same time the section of a blanked piece A1 is preformed angular or circular shape by a slope 5' and circular surface 14' of the punch, and the angle of bottom circumferecnial surface is formed. Then a drawing punch 3 is lowered to press with its semispherical surface the upper surface 3' of a blanked piece A1 and the drawing is commenced by stretching and tensioning centrally the circumferential rim of the blanked piece A1 between the slope 5' and the circular surface 14'. The drawing punch 3 is further lowered to draw it to shape a semisphere cap A between the semisphere surface 3' and the drawing die 14. In this way a semisphere cap without trimming allowances is obtained.
