Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare a heat-sensitive recording sheet which is eminently excellent in a color sensitivity, has a high whiteness, and prevents the deterioration in the whiteness during the preservation by a method wherein benzoic acid phenylester and the like is included as an improver for color sensitivity into a coloring lacton compound and an acid material. CONSTITUTION:Preferably 500-2,500pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. (A) coloring lacton compound (example: crystal violet lacton and the like), of (B) an acidic material (example: bisphenol A and the like), and preferably 5-25pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. a component B, of (C) 2,2-bis(4-acetokyciphenyl)propane, a benzoic acid phenylester (phenyl nucleus can be substituted by an electron attractive group) are dispersed in water to prepare an applying liquid (so that a component A becomes preferably 0.1-0.6g per 1m<2> of a sheet base material). The applying liquid is then applied on the sheet base material to obtain a desired sheet.
