PURPOSE:To remove a phase distortion of a video signal of a TV set having an automatic phase controlling circuit, by providing a means for changing the AC loop gains by changing over a switching circuit provided in the loop through which a phase error signal passes. CONSTITUTION:This TV set is provided with a means for switching a variable means of the AC loop gains provided in the loop through which a phase error signal passes, of an automatic phase controlling circuit for controlling the local frequency so as to synchronize in phase with a reference signal, by a switching control signal synchronizing with a synchronizing signal in a video signal. When a traveling contact (a) of a changeover switch SW is switched to a fixed contact (b) or (c), the first low-pass containing resistances R1, R2, or the second low-pass filter containing resistances R3, R2 is constituted. Also, the resistance value of the resistance R3 is made higher than that of R1 in advance, so that one of the first and second low-pass filters is selectively switched as a loop filter by a switching control signal from the outside.
