Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a photosemiconductor element and an optical fiber to be optically connected by means of a simple regulation, by a method wherein regulation of the mounting positions of the photosemiconductor element, the optical fiber and a lens is performed separately in the direction of the optical axis and in the direction perpendicular thereto. CONSTITUTION:A lens supporter 4 to support a lens 3 and a photosemiconductor element 1 are held by means of a holder 5, and the positions thereof in the optical axis are regulated. An optical fiber connector 7 is attached inside a housing 8 and positioned by means of said lens supporter 4. Said holder 5 is attached inside said housing 8, and the position of said holder 5 on the plane perpendiculr to the central axis of said optical fiber connector 7 is regulated. Thus, it is possible to optically connect the photosemiconductor element and the optical fiber with high accuracy by means of a simple regulation.
