Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce layer-to-layer cohesion when a base is wound around a reel by using an undercoating layer cross-linked by radiation irradiation. CONSTITUTION:As an undercoating layer provided between a base and a magnetic layer, a layer of cross-linking structure is obtained by causing radical reaction by irradiating a layer, consisting of resin and a radiation-sensitive compound, such as a reactive acryl oligomer and oligocarylate, having >=2 double bonds, with inoizing radiation such as electron beams, neutron beams and gamma rays.
