PURPOSE: To reduce the weight of a rotary ring and improve its load carrying capacity etc., by fitting a split inner orbital race and outer orbital races on the peripheral surface of an inner race and the inside surfaces of outer races and providing rolling elements among the inner and the outer orbital races so that each rolling element is in four-point contact with the orbital races.
CONSTITUTION: A split inner orbital race 7 and an upper and a lower outer orbital races 8, 9, which are made of quench-hardened bearing steel, are fitted on the peripheral surface of an inner race 4 and the inside surfaces of outer races 5, 6. The races 4, 5, 6 are made of nonferrous metal or the like. Rolling elements 10 are arranged among the orbital races 7, 8, 9 in contact with their orbital surfaces 28a, 28b, 30, 32 to provide a constrution similar to that of what is called four- point-contact angular ball bearing. A rotary ring 1 consisting of a main body 2 and a bearing section 3 has low weight because the inner and outer races 5, 6 of the main body 2 which shares most of the entire weight of the rotary ring 1 are made of a light material.
