Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove foreign matter that can be dislodged easily without stopping the machine and continue molding operation by repeating the operation of dislodging the foreign matter from molds for preset times or time when the foreign matter between the molds is detected during operation.
CONSTITUTION: The basic operation sequence of an injection molding machine consists of mold closing and mold protecting by detecting the foreign matter between molds. When the intervention of any foreign matter is admitted between the molds, mold opening and projecting of the foreign matter take place and in connection to the beginning of the next injection molding cycle, mold closing and mold protecting take place. If the intervention of the foreign matter is again detected, said operation is repeated and if the foreign matter intervention is still detected and the detection times (or time) for the presence of foreign matter run out of the set value, the machine is stopped. Much of the foreign matter intervened between the molds can be removed by the mold opening and the projecting of the foreign matter, and this makes it possible to prevent such an economical loss of immediately stopping the machine upon detection of the intervention of the foreign matter. In the case of unmanned control, the advantageous is particularly considerably higher.
