PURPOSE: A lubricating oil composition having extreme-pressure properties and antioxidizing properties improved, by adding a specific organotin phosphite compound or organotin phosphate compound to a lubricating oil.
CONSTITUTION: An organotin phosphite compound or organotin phosphate compound containing a group represented by formula I or II, where R1 and R3 are alkyl; R2 and R4 are alkylene, in its molecule is added to the lubricating oil. The above-mentioned R1 and R3 are preferably alkyl, -SR2O- is a residual group obtained by the hydrogen atom removal from the mercapto group and hydroxide group of a mercaptoalcohol, and R2 is preferably 2W20C linear or branched alkylene.
