Abstract

PURPOSE:To always obtain a clear image with high image density even after repeating copying many times by adding a polymer contg. sulfur in the bonds to the surface layer of a member providing triboelectric charges to a 1-component insulating toner. CONSTITUTION:In a method of developing an electric latent image with a triboelectrically charged insulating toner without using carrier particles, a polymer contg. sulfur in the bonds is added to at least part or all of the surface of a member providing triboelectric charges to a toner. The preferred polymer is a (co)polymer having about 5,000-50,000mol.wt. and contg. SO2 bonds such as polyether sylfone or polyallylsulfone.
