Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable listening from the beginning of a following recording part, by automatically jumping only a relatively long silence part on a tape in cue mode. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape is forwarded fast and the signal of a following recording part is obtained via a head 1, a negative pulse is supplied to an AND circuit 16 via a diode 10a and an inverting circuit 22 and further applied to an FF17, whose output energizes a device 18 to set a cue mode. Simultaneously, the output of the FF17 resets an FF14, whose output permits a device 15 to make a change-over to the cue mode, and a transistor 6 turns on to eliminate the output of a loudspeaker 5. Through those operations, the tape runs backward and when a differential pulse at the beginning of the recording part is obtained, an FF20 is energized and its output operates a device 21 to set a playback mode.
