Abstract
PURPOSE: To form at a time many shaped products free from distortions and crooks through a simple process, by piling up many comparatively long and moderately curved intermediate products of an aluminum base metallic foil previously formed by a press machine, in a shape reforming die set, and by heating and holding them in a prescribed temperature range for a prescribed period of time in order to reform their shape.
CONSTITUTION: A 0.02W0.2mm thick, about 1W2m long, for example, hard Al or Al-alloy foil 1 for use of a comparatively long shuttering blind of a skylight, etc., is press formed one by one by a die set 2a, 2b. Hereupon, when the pressing pressure is released, the press formed foils cause a spring back which somewhat reduces the forming rate. Thus preformed plural members 1' are piled up one by one in a shape-reforming die set 3a, 3b having an identical shape with the die set 2; then, the members 1' are heated to 150W230°C and are held at that temperature for 3secW5min for finishing the forming process. By these forming conditions, a finished product suitable for a practical use is obtained, if the forming rate of the finished product is assumed about ≥80%.
