Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible to limit vibration even in a low frequency range by providing a weighting member engageably and disenggeably to the abutting portion of an object to which vibration is limited, through a supporting arm which is pivotable with respect to the object by means of a torsion spring whose spring force is adjustable. CONSTITUTION:A vibratio limiter is constructed in a compact form by connecting one end of a torsion spring 14 to a supporting arm 8 carrying a weighting member 13, the axis of the torsion spring being parallel with the rotational axis of the supporting arm 8. In case that the supporting arm 8 in its initial position can be held horizontally, apparent initial deflection in the torsion spring 14 can be eliminated. The longitudinal position of the weighting member 13 on the supporting arm 8 and the rotational positon of the other end of the torsion spring 14 are adjustably arranged for increasing an adjustable range of the characteristic frequency.
