Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide reduction insize and weight and prolongation of the bearing life by putting an exciting coil, side by side with a bearing, above a shaft in the friction face side of a main rotating part forming the friction face.
CONSTITUTION: A plate 191 forming a friction face, a V pulley groove ring 192, and a ring 193 are united in a body, and an exciting coil 21 is wound around the outer surface of the sleeve 20a of a fixing part 20 projected in axial direction. The fixing part 20 is fixed to a compressor frame 1. Owing to this construction, the exciting coil 21 is put side by side with a bearing 22, thus enabling the substantial shortening of a magnetic circuit and the reduction in magnetizing force consumption, the miniaturization of the exciting coil 21, and the reduction of dn value owing to the internal rotation of the bearing 22 and therefore the prolongation of the bearing 22 life even at a high rotating rate.
