Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the elevation of internal pressure of rolls and to eliminate the breakage of seal by relieving the internally pressurized oil of the roll to a pipe line that is connected to the piping of the rotary joint side, after discoupling the joints such as the quick joint or the like, while drawing the rolls out of the mill after the completion of rolling. CONSTITUTION:A piping 4 from a hydraulic unit 3 and a piping 2 from a rotary joints 1 of the roll end are coupled attachably and detachably to a variable crowning rolls by a pair of joints 5, 6. After the rolling is over, the crowning rolls are drawn out of the mill and the joints 5, 6 are discoupled. Then a valve 13 is opened to a pipe line 12 which is connected to the piping 2 of the joint 1 side and the internally pressurized oil is led, thus relieving the residual pressure.
