Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a switching element against surge voltage by absorbing the surge voltage via a surge voltage absorbing circuit passing through a power source and a constant voltage element from the intermediate of the coil of a power transformer. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source is connected to the intermediate 12n of the coil of a power transformer 12, and is connected to the other terminal of a DC power source 15 via switching elements 14a, 14b connected in push-pull manner across the coil. A surge voltage absorbing circuit is formed by so connecting the other terminals of a pair of diodes D1, D2 via the coil to form a closed loop reaching one terminal of the power source 15 as to form the reverse polarity to the polarity of the DC power source to the other terminal sides of the DC power source.
