PURPOSE:To execute an operation confirming work for a detecting circuit easily and swiftly, by providing a voltage detecting circuit for receiving the voltage which has been divided by a resistance voltge dividing circuit, and an overvoltage control thyristor which is triggered by the voltage detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:When test terminals P1, P2 are short-circuited, output voltage V0 of a fixed output voltage adjusting device 1 is divided by a resistance R10 and R12, and voltage of R12XV0/(R10+R12) is applied to the resistance R12. By this voltage value, a voltage dividing ratio of the resistances R10, R12 is determined so that a voltage trigger element CR3 breaks down and turns on. Also, the interterminals P1, P2 are released, regulator output voltage V0 is divided by resistances R10-R12, and the resistances R11 is determined so that turn-on caused by breaking down does not occur when voltge is applied to the voltage trigger element CR3. In this way, an operation confirming work for a detecting circuit is executed easily and swiftly.
