Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish an accurate direction measuring by employing the output of a level difference detection circuit separately formed when a receiving circuit is saturated. CONSTITUTION:Antennas 21-28 with the same directivity are arranged at an equispace over the entire directions in such a manner as to be separately combined with receiving circuits 29-1-29-8 having a logarithmic amplification detecting characteristic. Level difference detection circuits 31-1-31-8 are provided to detect an output difference between adjacent receiving circuits and level difference detection circuits 32-1-32-8 are provided to detect an output level difference between the adjacent two receiving circuits. For example, when neither of 30-2 and 30-3 is saturated among saturation detection circuits 30-1-30-8, the output of the level difference detection circuit 31-2 is used while when either thereof is saturated, the output of the level difference detection circuit 32-1 is used to measure respective directions. Thus, accurate bearing measurement can be performed. In this example, the output of the receiving circuits is added at an interval of every two but permissibly at one or more.
