Abstract

PURPOSE:To widen the range of control for the subject inverter by a method wherein an output voltage ranging from the rated voltage to an approximate zero voltage when the Q of the load tank circuit is small. CONSTITUTION:When the peak value of a load voltage dropped below the set voltage, the vibration at a tank circuit LR is continued by conducting a thyristor circuit ST1 or ST2 at the next zerocross point and when the voltage peak value of the tank circuit LR drops below the set value again, the thyristor circuit ST1 and ST2 are conducted at the next zerocross point. Besides, thyristors S1-S4 and S2-S3 or S5- S8 and S6-S7 are alternately turned on in the thyristors S1-S4 and S5-S8 on the thyristor circuits ST1-ST2, thereby enabling to charge capacitors ST1 and CT2 alternately in reverse direction.
