PURPOSE:To reduce thermal stress to be generated in a torque tube and to suppress deformation and stress to be generated by electromagnetic force on the rotor of a superconductive rotary machine to small by a method wherein plural T-shaped reinforcing rings of a high intensity material are provided on the outer circumference of a cold damper. CONSTITUTION:The T type reinforcing rings 17 are provided on the outer circumference of the cold damper 4 consisted of a cold damper support 4b arranged on the inside circumference of a cold damper conductor 4a. Accordingly frictional restraining force to be generated on the contacting face of the cold damper 4 with the reinforcing rings 17 is reduced, and thermal stress to be generated in the torque tube of the rotor can be suppressed to small.
