Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform at high speed melting of the material and exfoliation of the molten part in such a way that when performing electrolytic grinding in use of an electric conductive grinding stone, mechanical grinding and electrolytic grinding are alternately worked by applying alternating current to a non-conductive material. CONSTITUTION:An electrode is connected to a non-conductive material M to be ground as well as to a grinding stone 1 from a voltage feeder E. Next to it, the grinding stone 1 is rotated at high speed, the voltage feeder E is energized, and wave-form alternating current voltage is applied. Therefore, electric conductive condition is generated by dielectric action between an electric conductive material 10 which has been embedded in the end curved face of the grinding stone 1 and a non-conductive material M, melting of the material M goes ahead, and then mechanical grinding action goes ahead with particles on a grinding belt 11. Since these both actions are alternately repeated for a short time, the molten part is mechanically exfoliated and removed forthwith, so that exceedingly efficient grinding can be performed.
