PURPOSE:To increase speediness of removal of a cassette and improve its safety, by constituting an exchanger in such a manner that an opening and door for removal of the cassette are provided partially to the exchanger and a cassette inserting motor is reversibly rotated by opening action of the door to pull out the cassette to an opening door part. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition mounted with a cassette 3c to a cassette insertion port 11, if a side door 22 is opened for supply or the like of recording paper, a side door switch operates, and a cassette inserting motor, not shown in the drawing, is reversely rotated to drive the cassette, mounted to the cassette insertion port 11, to the direction of its removal and feed the cassette to the outside from a cassette removal opening 21. Then the cassette 3c, finished with supply, is set to the insertion port 11, if a cassette mounting button is operated, the motor is rotated forward to mount the cassette in the insertion port 11, if the door 22 is closed, copying is started. In this constitution, removal of the cassette can be speedily further safely operated.
