Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a cutter for cutting off spews of a tire which is capable of preventing the surface of the tire from being damaged by preventing its cutting blade from vibrating through such an arrangement wherein a protruded part which holds the bottom of a blade at a fixed distance from the surface of the tire is arranged at the bottom of at least one tooth of cutting blades in the form of comb teeth at the rear part of the blade in the direction of its width. CONSTITUTION:Protruded parts 24 and notched parts 26 are formed widthwise at the main body 21 of an adapter 20 to be installed to the bottom surface 4 of a comb teethlike cutting blade 1 by the same pitch as that of a comb teeth part 3. Top ends of protruded parts 24 are arranged widthwise at the rear of the bottom 8 of the blade 1, at the same positions thereof, along the longitudinal direction of the blade 1, and rear ends of the notched parts 26 are arranged widthwise at the rear of the top end 6 of the blade 1, at the same position thereof. Since the part of blade which is brought to contact with the tread surface 51 of a tire 50 is only the protruded part 24 of the adapter 20, less frictional heat is transferred to the comb teeth-like cut blade 1.
