Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent extremely lean mixture for stable running of an engine by positioning a check valve, which shuts off a starting air passage when a negative pressure of suction air is reduced below a certain value, in said passage and supplying mixture for the engine through a suction passage of a carburetor. CONSTITUTION:A mixture control unit M has a bimetal chamber 18 at the right side and a dilution chamber 19 in the middle. A check valve 30 is disposed in a starting mixture passage 4 on the upstream side of a control valve 26 or in a starting air passage 3. Immediately after an engine E gets hot nearly up to a point of a completion of warming-up thereof and a bimetal 27 forces the control valve 26 to advance with a certain clearance to the first valve seat 21, the check valve 30 is immediately closed because of reduction of a negative pressure of suction air at the upstream side of the control valve 26 below a certain point. A negative pressure in the suction passage 6 at the lower side of the throttle valve 8 rises while a quantity of air to be sucked into the suction passage 6 is increased so that uneven combustion of the engine may be prevented.
