Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity, to make the tilted meter mechanically robust, and to perform always correct measurement by using a combination of concentrators and Hall elements as detectors for the terrestrial magnetism. CONSTITUTION:The azimuth meter is constituted of detectors 10 and 20, adjusting circuits 30 and 40, amplifiers 50 and 60, a calculating circuit 70, a changeover switch 80 and an indicator 90. The detectors 10 and 20 are constituted by combining concentrators and Hall elements, and the circuits 30 and 40 both erase disturbing magnetic outputs and output only the outputs by the terrestrial magnetism. The circuit 70 derives the output proportional to the azimuth angle of the terrestrial magnetism and applies this to the indicator 90.
