Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent initial malfunction completely through accurate initiation of control circuits by operating a timer circuit in response to switching on of an electric power source, initiating the control circuits in accordance with the timer signal and inhibiting the generation of control signals during that time. CONSTITUTION:A reset circuit shown in the figure is provided to sequence control circuits, and the STOP signal for resetting the entire part of the circuits is emitted when transfer paper jams or when an electrostatic charger spark discharges or when an electric power source is switched on. A circuit 205 is a timer circuit which generates the signal for resetting the necessary parts of other digital circuits to the initial state prior to starting, and outputs a (O) for a constant time TR alone since switching on of the power source and outputs a (1) upon lapse of a constant time. Therefore, the STOP signal is emitted from a terminal 208 and all the control circuits return accurately to the initial state. The initial malfunction owing to the imperfection of resetting is completely prevented.
