Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve control of a plunger in such a way that the plunger equipped with a path which communicates to the communicating space is reciprocated through the inside of the valve body equipped with the communicating space for fuel from the high pressure fuel producing source in order to communicate to and interrupt at the injection port.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel is accumulated in an accumulator 5 in the high pressure fuel producing source 4, which is led to the communicating space 11 of the valve body 9 which does pressure control by a pressure control valve 7 and has an injection port 14, and paths 13a are provided on the plunger 13 which is inserted into the valve body 9. Besides, at the top dead point position of the plunger 13, also the paths 13aW13c are filled with pressure control fuel the same as in the communicating space 11. When electric conduction is applied to an electromagnetic coil 15 for driving the plunger at the control unit 23, the plunger 13 slides down, and injection starts up and terminates by communicating and interrupting between the path 13c and the injection port 14. Thus, injection rate, injection start, and termination period are adjusted by controlling the control unit 23.
