Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the interference between a linkage and a tank, by a method wherein a fuel tank is placed in a tunnel projected upwards from the surface of a floor panel, and a space in which a shift linkage can be placed is provided at an upper part of the tunnel. CONSTITUTION:The tunnel 5 projected upwards from the floor panel 4 is provided at a central part in respect of the transverse direction of the floor panel 4, and the fuel tank 6 is arranged in the tunnel 5. The shift linkage 3 is placed in an enclosed space formed between the insdide surface of a reinforcing member 7 fitted to an upper part of the tunnel 5 and the outside surface of the tunnel 5. Accordingly, the capacity of the fuel tank 6 can be increased while preventing the tank 6 from interferring with the linkage 3.
