Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent copied image which is free from dirt on the surface, without damaging the surface of a photosensitive substance, by forming a transfer image on the first transfer roll, and transferring it on a transfer sheet by the second transfer roll, by use of two transfer rolls. CONSTITUTION:A drumlike photosensitive substance 11 is equally charged, a picture is exposed in an exposure part 13, and a visible image 15 is transferred on the first transfer roll 16 by a developing device 14. Subsequently, a visible image on the roll 16 is transferred and fixed on the second transfer roll 18 having heat source 17 in its inside. After that, a fixed image on the roll 18 is transferred and fixed on a sheet S by a pressure roll 19. Since the roll 18 does not contact directly with the photosensitive substance 11, a photosensitive layer of the photosensitive substance 11 does not come under a bad thermal influence, and also it is not damaged due to contact of the sheet S, therefore, a satisfactory picture can be obtained. Moreover, usual copying can be executed, too, by reproducing a visible image on the roll 18, on the drum 11 by use of an optical system 20, rotating the roll 18 in the direction as indicated with an arrow of a broken line, and transferring an image on the drum by a transfer device 35.
