Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and simplify the support structure of a chain sprocket by providing a retaining plate forming a circular flange, the outside edge thereof being extended radially, which is attached to the side of the sprocket and is adapted to detachably support a circular rubber member. CONSTITUTION:A sprocket 1 is attached to an output shaft S by putting a spline hole disposed on the center of the sprocket on a spline shaft formed on the end of the output shaft S and putting a retaining plate 8 with a spline hole thereon and by rotating the plate in a peripheral groove mounted on the end of the output shaft S by half a pitch to be held and fastened by a bolt 9. The retaining plate 8 comprises a cylindrical portion bent along the axis thereof and a circular flange 8a extended radially from the cylindrical portion. A rubber member 11 is detachably mounted on the flange 8a, with which the outside link plate 3 and the outside link plate 4 of a roller chain 2 collide.
