Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor improving an increase in light part potential and a decrease in dark potential during repeated exposure and charging by forming a layer contg. a specified pyrazoline compound on an electrophotographic receptor. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic receptor has a layer contg. a pyrazoline compound represented by the formula (where X is a heterocyclic group such as 2-pyridyl or 2-quinolyl; R1 is aryl; and each of R2 and R3 is H or aryl, yet R2 and R3 are not H simultaneously), e.g., 1-[pyridyl-(3)]-3,5-di-(4-N,N-dimethylaminophenyl)pyrazoline or 1-[quinolyl-(2)]-3,5-di-(4-N,N-dimethylaminophenyl)pyrazoline. A laminate type photosensitive layer consisting of a charge transferring layer contg. said pyrazoline compound as a charge transferring substance and a charge generating layer is preferably used.
