Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a heat-sensitive recording medium having excellent plasticizer resistance of a colored part, by employing as an acidic substance a sulfonyldiphenol compound and adding a sulfonic acid group-containing benzophenone derivative to a heat-sensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:In a heat-sensitive recorcing medium having a heat-sensitive layer consisting of a colorless or pale color forming substance (e.g., a leuco compound of fluoran series), an acidic substance which develops the color of said substance by heating and a binder such as PVA in a base, 100-500wt% sulfonyldiphenol compound is preferably added to the color forming substance as the acidic substance, and 1-20% (based on the total solid content) benzophenone derivative having an SO3H group (e.g., 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone-5- sulfonic acid of the formula) is added. EFFECT:Even if this medium is in contact with an eraser or a container of commutation ticket containing a plasticizer, colored image is not erased nor discolored.
