PURPOSE:To increase the electromagnetic conversion characteristics through the provision of specific waves to a magnetic substance orthogonal to the direction of track width, by using a magnetic substance having a negative magnetostrictive constant for at least one of upper and lower thin film magnetic substance members. CONSTITUTION:A lower thin film magnetic substance 21 is provided on a non- magnetic substance insulating base 24, an insulating body 25 enclosing a thin film conductor coil 23 and forming a gap G is provided, waves are provided on an insulator 25, for example, with a special method and an upper thin film magnetic substance 22 corresponding to the waves are formed.
