CONSTITUTION:Flat and semicircular copper belts 1a, 1b are faced for welding and a joint section 3 and the periphery are accommodated in a local vacuum chamber 8 having a rising electron beam gun 11 and a container 10 is formed by filling a sealing material 9 for high vacuum. Next, welding is done by the electron beam gun. The molten copper has low viscosity and bead is easy to droop. Therefore, the backing material 12 of a ?-shaped cooling copper plate 14 with carbon 13 is used. In this way, semicircular copper belts 1a, 1b... are successively joined from the inner diameter side to wind by n turns and a high-accuracy troidal magnetic field coil is completed.
