NEW MATERIAL:A disazo compound of formulaI[X,Ar is unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or heterocyclic ring].
USE: Electrophotographic photoreceptor: it is high sensitive, moreover, it is senistive only to short waves in the visble range (450W600nm), so showing high reproducibility in copying red-colored images.
PREPARATION: 2,6-Diaminoanthraquinone of formula II is diazotized to form a tetrazonium salt of formula III (Y is anionic functional group) and the product is made to couple with a compound of formula IV.
