Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus in which a very clear warning sound can be generated, by providing a vibrating member that can be attached through its securing part to an attaching section of the lug of a back plate, and positioning the tip vibrating section of said member at the abrasion limit surface of a friction member. CONSTITUTION:The titled warning apparatus comprises the vibrating member, that is, a band spring 38 that is attached to one of a pair of ears 37 having an attaching groove 39 in the shape of C and extending from the lower parts on opposite sides of the back plate 20 of an outer pad 24 of a disc brake. The spring 38 has at its one end the securing part 40 in the shape of C, and a fitting part 41 of the securing part 40 having the same width as that of the groove 39 is fitted to the groove 39. The spring 38 further includes a first bent part 42 connected to the securing part 40 and bent into a U-shape, a second bent part 46 connected to the first bent part 42, bent into a U-shape and extending approximately normally to the first bent part 42, and the vibrating section 48 which extends from the second bent part 46 toward a rotor 10 and whose tip reaches the abrasion limit surface A of the friction pad 16.
