Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a flame sprayed steel plate good in close adhesiveness and excellent in corrosion resistance, processability and surface beauty by successively forming coatings on the cleaned and roughened surface of a steel plate by combining an arc type and a gas type flame spraying methods. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate 1, wherein the black skin on the surface thereof is removed by grit blast to attain the cleaning and the roughening of said surface and the preheating thereof is succeedingly carried out in a heating furnace, is moved on rollers 3 to a left direction. On the other hand, over the entire width of the plate 1, Al is sprayed from either one of the arc gun 3 of an arc type plasma spraying apparatus or a gas gun 4 of a gas type flame spraying apparatus arranged so as to cross the plate at right angles as well as to leave a space therebetween or from both guns 3, 4 while gun stands are swung in the interval width between the guns. By this mechanism, a flame sprayed coating 5 with a predetermined film thickness is formed on the surface of the plate 1.
