Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a skew and a jam from occurring by lowering a mounting means of sheets at a stage that a sheet is transferred from a feeding means to a conveying means. CONSTITUTION:A wire 25 with its front and rear ends fixed to a driving pulley 20 for up and down movement is suspended across idle pulleys 21-24 and is connected to a paper feed tray 12 so that a paper feed roller 56 can be driven by a separation upper roller 52 driven by a shaft of a conveyance roller 32, and a separation lower roller 62 is arranged below the roller 52 so as to transmit a driving force from the pulley 21. When the shaft of the roller 32 is driven, the second and following sheets P are held by the roller 62, and after the uppermost sheet 9 fed out by rotations of the roller 56 is pulled in by the rollers 32, 36, an induction motor (not shown in the figure) is reversed in rotation so that the tray 12 is lowered by means of the pulley 20 and the wire 25, and the pulley 21 rotates the roller 62, returning the sheets P which have been held back to the tray 12.
