Abstract

PURPOSE:To practically permit the variation of exposure at each variable magnification by mounting a slit plate with prescribed slit width on a position separated from the surface of a manuscript in the optical axial direction by prescribed distance according to the distance between the manuscript surface and the center of a lens. CONSTITUTION:A slit plate 4 with slit width 2L is mounted symmetrically against the optical axis on a position separated by (x) from a manuscript surface 1 which is separated by (g) from the lens 3 in the optical axis direction. The slit range of the manuscript surface 1 is projected on a photosensitive element 2 like slilts through the lens 3. If magnification and lens effetive F number are m and F0 respectively, mX2gL/(g-x)X1/F0 is made constant, so that the quantity of exposure on the photosensitive element 2 is kept constant independently of the magnification. Thus, the variation of exposure at each variable magnification can be practically permitted.
