Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable smooth charging of a battery by supplying one polarity output of a charging coil to the battery in response to the battery voltage, and shortcircuiting and controlling the other polarity output of a lamp firing coil in response to the output voltage of the coil for firing the lamp. CONSTITUTION:The output voltage V2 of a charging terminal 2 of a generating coil 1 is supplied through a thyristor 4 of a positive cycle time charging current series charging circuit 18 to a battery 17. The charging period of the battery 17 depends upon the voltage of the battery 17. The output voltage V3 of a lamp terminal 3 of the coil 1 is applied to a lamp side parallel control circuit 19. When the output voltage V3 becomes higher than the set value, a thyristor 9 is conducted, and the negative output of the output voltage V3 is shortcircuited. In this manner, smooth charging can be performed.
