Abstract

PURPOSE:To assure a safety of gas units when earthquake is occured when the units are started to operate by a method wherein gas pipes for the gas units are applied as the exclusive pipes, and a shut-off valve, an earthquake sensor and a gas pressure measuring device are arranged at the inlet parts of the pipes, and thereby a gas leakage caused when the units are operated is sensed and the units are controlled. CONSTITUTION:Exclusive pipes 5 and a shut-off valve 7 are arranged for a gas heater 4 applied as one example of gas unit, and there are provided an earthquake sensor 9 and the gas pressure measuring device 8 for measuring the gas pressure in the pipe 5. When the earthquake sensor 9 senses the earthquake and when the gas pressure measuring device 8 senses the gas leakage when the gas units are started to operate, the sensed signal is detected by the central processing unit 1, a termination of operation is instructed to the terminal control devices 2 and at the same time the shut-off valve 7 is closed. Then, when abnormal condition of gas leakage etc. is not sensed, the central processing unit 1 opens the shut-off valve 7 and further an operation is instructed to each of the terminal control devices 2.
