Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase energy absorption quantity by composing ribs as energy absorption elements in such a manner as profiles, which make right angles with shock load of ribs extending in the direction of the shock load, present undulation and the undulatory ribs intersect substantially at right angles. CONSTITUTION:Through watching a rib by its profiles in the direction of shock load and that of a right angle, it is seen that the rib consists of the plural number of horizontal ribs A1-A3 extending in the horizontal direction and the plural number of longitudinal ribs B1-B8 extending in the longitudinal direction. An intersection C of these horizontal ribs and longitudinal ribs are composed so as to intersect substantially at right angles. Further, both horizontal and longitudinal ribs are formed undulatory and compose parts D each enclosed by means of two horizontal and longitudinal ribs respectively. As a result, energy absorption quantity per unit weight of the rib is increased.
