PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a loading apparatus for pouches by providing a horizontal long elevator capable of elevating along a fixed support and mounting a horizontal long transverse capable of horizontally moving which meets at right angles with the elevator to move an article holder on the transverse. CONSTITUTION:An elevator 6, a transverse 11 and a mover 15 are moved above an article 28 on a standby conveyer, and supporters 18 of an article holder 17 are outstretched, a push rod 20 being raised. Secondly, the elevator 6 is lowered to support the article 28 between the supporters 18. Then, the elevator 6 is raised, and the transverse 11 and the mover 15 are respectively moved horizontally to a predetermined position on a pallet. The elevator 6 is lowered and the supporters 18 are outstretched, the push rod 20 being lowered to load the article at the predetermined position. Thus, loading can be accomplished assuredly and the load is prevented from breaking. The apparatus can be simply constructed.
