Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform an efficient back-fill process without causing any settlement of subbase course by a method wherein lime is mixed with waste soil selected by a sieve and the material sieve selected is further selected by a sieve and the soil not passed through the sieve is processed so as to be adapted to the subbase course material.
CONSTITUTION: Waste soils generated at a plurality of road construction sites are accumulated at a specific processing field 2, they are selected by a sieve at a first granular degree selection part A2, and the waste soil which may not be selected by the sieve is crushed by a crusher B1, the addition agent B3 such as bituminous material etc. is added and mixed with the waste soil and then they are recovered as asphalt mixture material B2. In turn, the soil passed through the selection part A2 is measured by a sensor means 3 for its granular degree and water content in percent of dry weight, lime 4 is added to form a primary lime mixture part D1 and selected with a sieve at the second granular degree selection part D2. The soil not passed through the sieve is sent to the crusher C1 or discharged at C2. In turn, the soil passed through the sieve is mixed with lime to perform a third granular degree selection and it is separated into a subbase course material and a subgrade material.
