Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform smooth opening and closing operations of a shelf in such a way that an integral resilient member is arranged in the vehicular width directions of a rear parcel shelf, and one pair of flexible materials which are joined to a tail gate are connected at the ends of these materials. CONSTITUTION:Resilient members 20 extending in the vehicular directions in free expansible and contractive condition to the shelf 4 are arranged in a cover 21 which is installed on the back side of a rear parcel shelf. End parts 25 of one pair of flexible members 24 are connected at the both ends 23 of the resilient members 20, hooks 29 are fixed at the other ends of the flexible members 24, and the hooks 29 are joined to the tail gate. In consequence, when opening and closing the tail gate, since moving rate of the flexible members become uniform in such a way that it is automatically adjusted by means of the resilient members 20, opening and closing operations of the rear parcel shelf can be smoothly done.
