Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable adjustment of a seat pressure without changing the vertical height of a seat by sucking some portion of a surface by an expanding force of an air bag which is disposed at the lower side of elastic wires under a seat cushion frame and by acting a clamping effect on a cushioning material. CONSTITUTION:Elastic wires 3 at the side of an opening 2 of a frame 1 are connected to the side faces of the frame 1 via springs 5. A cushioning material is placed on the aforementioned elastic wires 3 and frame 1 and is covered with skin 7 throughout the surface thereof. Drawing members 8 are disposed inside the skin 7 and placed inside of cavities 9 of the cushioning material 6. A rod 10 is inserted through a hollow part in said drawing member 8 and the rod 10 and a sheet 14 are connected via a ring 12 and string 13. An air bag 16 is then disposed on a plate 15 piled on the sheet 14. A stretching force of the air bag 16 is transmitted to each of the drawing members 8 of the skin 7 via the sheet 14 and the rod 10 to clamp the cushioning material 6, thereby adjusting a seat pressure.
