Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a mirror from flickering on the image while the driving motor is prevented from damage by means of providing a solenoid device to work so as to release engagement of the housing and the mirror. CONSTITUTION:When a driving motor 3 is worked through a given switch so as to tilt and adjust a mirror 2, though the mirror 2 starts tilting, at the same time, an electromagnet 5 works, a vibration damping member 4 is electromagnetically attracted and separated from the outer wall of a fixed housing 1, and its engagement is released. Thus, since load attributable to a vibration damping member 4 is not absolutely applied to the driving motor 3, it may not cause any damage. In addition, after the determined tilting adjustment has been completed if the driving motor 3 is stopped, at the same time, the electromagnet 5 is also demagnetized, and as the result the vibration damping member 4 is restituted to the engaging condition to the original fixed housing.
