Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a catalyst with an excellent attaching force to the metal base material by applying catalyst components on the surface thereof after a coarse coat layer is formed thereon by a composite plating.
CONSTITUTION: A coat layer with a highly irregular surface made up of a plating metal 2 and non-conductive particles 3 is formed on a metal base plate 1 by a composite plating. The composite plated layer has a very strong combining force between the plating metal and non-conductive particles. Thereafter, a catalyst components are attached to the surface thereof to support. The catalyst thus formed is excellent in the durability covering a wide range of application.
