Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled polymer having high heat resistance, impact resistance and moldability, by the two-step polymerization of a polymer having a specific intrinsic viscosity and a polymer having higher intrinsic viscosity than the above polymer at a specific ratio using a catalyst composed of a Ti-containing solid component, an organic Al compound, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Propylene or propylene and other α-olefins are polymerized using a catalyst system composed mainly of a titanium-containing solid component and an organic aluminum compound in two steps comprising the first step wherein a propylene homopolymer or a propylene-α-olefin copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity[η]of 0.6W1.7dl/g is prepared in an amount exceeding 40wt% and less than 70wt%, and the second step wherein a (co)polymer having an intrinsic viscosity[η]of 1.5W4.5dl/g and ≥1.5 times that of the polymer obtained by the first step is prepared in an amount exceeding 30wt% and less than 60wt%. The intrinsic viscosity[η]of the whole polymer is 1W2dl/g.
