Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Oil which has been fed from an oil reservoir 8 through an oil feeding pipe 11 to a seal ring 4 by a pump 7 fills the space made with a shaft 1, and it moves to a drain oil chamber 12 on the atmosphere side and to a preliminary vacuum chamber 13. Oil which has been collected in the drain oil chamber 12 on the atmosphere side passes through a drain oil pipe 14, and it spontaneously flows down into an oil reservoir 8 in the atmosphere. On another hand, oil which has been collected in the preliminary vacuum chamber 13 passes through a drain oil pipe 15 by gravity likewise, and it flows down into a vacuum oil reservoir 18 which has been exhausted air by a vacuum pump 6. The vacuum oil reservoir 18 and the oil reservoir 8 are communicated through an oil feeding pipe 19, and oil in the vacuum oil reservoir 18 moves to the oil reservoir 8 in the atmosphere by pressure due to oil column in the oil feeding pipe.
