Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive effective for bonding insulators for transformers for superhigh voltage electric power, which adhesive has its own partial discharge characteristic retained, has resistance to heat, and would be less deteriorated, by incorporating an amine additive into a starch adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: An amine additive (e.g. urea, dicyandiamide, morpholine, etc.) is added to a starch adhesive to obtain the adhesive for electric apparatuses. If the starch adhesive itself is heated, lowering of the bonding strength may be boserved, whereas when an amine additive is added preferably in an amount on the order of 1W5%, the deterioration can be reduced, the partial discharge characteristics of the starch adhesive is not damaged, and therefore the adhesive is useful for insulators that will be used under high electric fields for superhigh voltage apparatuses, etc.
